Argus Model D Pig Valves Ace Fire Safety Test
As leaders in the manufacturing of pipeline pigging products, our pigging valves are designed not only to achieve optimal flow line and pipeline performance, but with the highest regard for operator safety.
This commitment to safety was demonstrated through recent testing of our Model D pigging valve. In compliance with ISO 10479-5 and API 607/6FA, our Model D valves are officially deemed “fire safe”.
In addition to this critical safety feature, Argus’ Model D pigging valves offer other safety benefits:
1) The Pressure Alert Valve allows the operator to check and confirm that the body cavity has been successfully bled down or vented.
2) The Pressure Warning Groove, located on the adaptor, allows the media to communicate with the atmosphere, preventing removal of the entry cap under pressure.
3) The Pressure Equalization Line Safety Pin prevents accidental operation of the valve during the pigging process.
4) The Lifting Lugs allow for safe installation and removal of the pig valve.
