Wrench Style Entry Caps Enhance User Safety
In response to industry trends in safety, as well as customer demand, Argus has standardized the entry cap on our 2” – 6” pig valves.
Effective June 1st, 2011, our 2” – 6” pig valves now feature wrench style design. This non-impact design addresses two safety concerns in field operations – the failure of the pressure-containing component, as well as the hazardous generation of sparks through severe contact of steel on steel. Additional benefits include ease of handling and reduced wear and tear on both the valve and the entry plug.
In addition to our commitment to safety, we also pride ourselves on our ability to meet the specific needs of our customers. As such, hammer style valves are still available upon request.
