Vaccination Policy Implementation Information for Site Visitors

Argus Machine Co. Ltd. (Argus) has implemented a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy in the continued effort to provide safe workplaces for our employees, our customers, and members of the public with whom we interact regularly: your safety matters.

With COVID-19 numbers rising it is critical that we employ all practical measures to mitigate and control the risk posed by the COVID-19 virus, which has evolved into an established and known workplace hazard. Emerging scientific and medical data has verified the effectiveness of vaccinations in reducing the risk of spread, as well as the risk of severity of COVID-19 virus infection.

This policy is in line with our Values, and supports similar efforts from our customers, government branches and communities. This action also supports our community to lower transmission rates, reduce the severity of infections, and avoid strain on our healthcare system.

Effective October 1, 2021, to gain access to Argus facilities, all employees and visitors are required to either provide:
proof of being fully vaccinated, or a negative COVID-19 test result from an approved testing provider taken within 72 hours.

The exception to this will be for delivery or transport drivers, or other service providers who will be onsite and only be indoors for less than 15 minutes. They must still follow all other Argus and Alberta Government public health order requirements including masking, physical distancing and personal hygiene protocols, and any other measures implemented to reduce the transmission of COVID-19.

What you need to show:
Documents will be visually verified by Reception or your Argus host, and documented prior to building access being granted.

Proof of Vaccination
Your proof of vaccination must display the name, type of vaccine and the date it was received.
This can be a paper COVID-19 vaccination record or
shown on an electronic device from:
• Alberta Health Services
• A First Nation
• Your pharmacy
• Your physician
• Another province or territory
• Canadian armed forces

You can print your own card online or get one printed for free at any Registry Agent.

Proof of Negative Test Result
You can show a COVID-19 negative test result.
Tests must be:
• Provided as an original or printed copy (photos are not sufficient)
• Privately-paid
• A Health Canada approved rapid antigen, rapid PCR or lab-based PCR test
• Completed within the past 72 hours

Test results must show the type of test, time of sample collection, clear indication of a negative result, and laboratory that completed the test.

Tests must not be from Alberta Health Services or Alberta Precision Laboratories.

To Our Valued Customers,

The Argus team applied our company values to meet the Government of Alberta mandate to have people work from home unless a physical presence was required.  In April, we had reconfigured our office space allowing the majority of the office staff to remain on site; however, it was time to think differently.

Team members recommended solutions to Managers to ensure customers and shop staff were supported, tasks were reorganized, and technology was utilized.  While there are still a few things to iron out, nearly 90% of our office team are now working from home.  The remaining employees are required on site for operational effectiveness.

As a result of the changes, we are taking the opportunity to identify new ways of working, implement more robust processes and leverage technology to ensure we can support our clients during the Government of Alberta’s mandated lockdown and into the future.

While our offices and shops will be closed to visitors during this time, you are still able to reach us via phone or email with your inquiries!

From our family to yours, we wish you health and happiness!
